In our Music lessons we have been learning about dynamics. We have compared music that has represented a calm and a stormy sea, discussing the differences in the quality of the sound. We have used vocal and body percussion to represent the things we might hear at the seaside.
We have begun our next unit in maths. We are looking at number from 20-50. Exploring how these numbers are made, thinking about more or less and the patterns we can spot to remember these numbers.
We started by exploring making some numbers using diennes. How many tens and how many ones are in a number. Last week, we practised using the part- whole model in maths. The part- whole model shows how a whole number can be broken into parts to show how it is made.
