What a fantastic, lovely meeting Year 3! Here is a summary You are Loving: Garden, gardening, more time, playing lego, teaching new tricks, going out on our bikes, family time, time with pets, time on farm, football with Dad, school work. You are Missing: Friends, Grandparents, people who don't live in our houses, teachers, swimming lessons, Brownies, everyone at school, going to friends houses, hugs with relatives. Some lovely things to look forward to: New dog, 2 new kittens and maybe a new home! We loved our 'meeting' today everyone, thank you and we can't wait to see you again soon! Mrs P, Miss C & Mrs G. Alex very kindly shared how he made a paper butterfly. Can you do it too? Please click the link below to see his PowerPoint presentation. Thank you Alex!
How To Make a Paper Butterfly Below are a few more pictures received today - thank you! Also, a LOVELY, fun idea to compliment your current fraction work (Lego fraction walls - we would love to see photos of these if you try them!). Good Morning! Thank you to everyone who has made contact so far (nearly half the class!). It has made us smile a lot. It is lovely to see you having a go at extra ideas set too...here is our first flower searcher! Also, check out Jasmine's fantastic butterfly dance she created with her brother. They made up the whole dance themselves including choosing their costumes. A delight to watch! Please click on this link which will take you to the Year 1 post the video is on. Have a fantastic day and we're looking forward to hearing from more of you. Good Afternoon Year 3! Another week begins and we can see it being a good one. The weather looks set to be glorious so plenty of chances for you to get out and enjoy the sun! Thank you already to those of you who have made contact (a few photos below from bubble blowing to Lego Fantastic Mr Fox & colouring by numbers to butterfly poetry) and we are looking forward to seeing what you are up to. This week looks the perfect opportunity for our Butterflies topic as guessing there'll be a lot out and about! We have decided to make this week 'Lockdown Bake Off Week', with a special treat come Friday for us all (emailed to you separately). Your task is to bake a yummy cake (inspired by one of our own Year 3 members!), decorate it and take a selfie with it. We cannot wait to see your scrummy creations! Happy Bake Off everybody! Mrs Peters, Miss Chalcraft and Mrs Glover P.s. Some of you have asked for the common exception Year 3 spellings to practise so I have uploaded both the Year 1 and 2 & Year 3 and 4 spelling grids for you. |
