Thank you for all of the work submitted to me today. I have really enjoyed seeing your photos and videos of your performing the Brazilian martial art Capoeira. I have been pleased with the clarity of your algorithms and it was lovely to see your videos of people at home finding your hidden toys. The similes included in your extended pieces of writing have contributed the atmosphere that you were trying to create. I would like to say a huge well done to you Year 4. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing you next Monday!

Register at 9.30 Maths Hit the button warm up Measuring perimeter on a grid Worksheet Answers English Beachcomber Poem Please read the beach comber poem (link in title above). If you can, have someone read it to you and take yourself to the beach. You are walking in the sand with bare feet. Feel the sand between your toes. Hear the waves lapping at the shore line. It is a sensory delight. Our learning objective over the next week is to write a poem about found objects, real or imagined, and express some feelings about them. Using the framework of Beachcomber to help us with structure. Lesson today: Looking at the poem, underline or note the unknown words - use a dictionary to find out their meanings and write down the definition please. Draw each item the beachcomber finds in pencil, think about how it would look lying on the beach, what might it have on it. Draw the images he describes, paying careful attention to the image you think of when you read the poem. Art Our topic is Brazil, so Thursday afternoon Mrs White will be teaching Art in class. She will be showing the children this image of Brazil's Carnival. Carnival footage one Carnival footage two (Please be careful watching just any footage on you tube as some videos do not have child friendly content) For your art this afternoon, please sketch this image (also below) and try to replicate it using colourful colours, pen, oil pastels, or anything you have that would liven us all up a bit! ................................
