I have put together some alternative ideas for your literacy lessons. You can, of course, continue with the usual lessons that I have been posting on here but if you would like to do something a little different then please have a look at the documents below. I have used short film clips from The Literacy Shed website and suggested possible writing tasks. You may be inspired by the films and have some writing ideas of your own which would also be fantastic. I've attached an idea for a lesson structure that you might like to follow. This starts with grammar and punctuation lessons from BBC Bitesize and then continues with the Literacy Shed work. How long you choose to spend on each video and task is up to you. I've started you off with two different videos you might like to use and I will add some more next week.

Check out this fantastic video that Ella sent me of her showcasing her gymnastic skills! I wish I could do that... Well done, Ella! Do the rest of you have any talents you would like to share with the class? Send me a video! Dear Year 4,
I hope you are all well and enjoying this beautiful weather! It is very strange not seeing you all at school but I have seen a few people when I have been out and about walking Lola. She has definitely been loving this sunshine - her favourite thing is sunbathing on the patio! My girls, Jess and Izzy, are keeping busy, doing their school work, baking together, going for walks and runs. We are all looking after each other. I am enjoying looking at your photos on our class blog and hearing about what you have been up to. I am looking forward to seeing you all soon. Mrs Horsley. I asked you what your favourite meals were for today's daily challenge. There was a strong Italian theme with lots of you choosing pasta, pizza and lasagne as your favourite meals - I have to agree with you on that! We also had fajitas, macaroni cheese, chips and chicken nuggets as firm favourites! I really want to share with you some more food photos. Serenity has been making pizza and cooking it in the BBQ which looks great fun! Wilf made a delicious looking banoffee pie for his family (and he's promised to make me one as soon as we're back at school). Morley's mum surprised her family with a homemade McDonalds! I absolutely love the boxes that she made to put the food in - what a treat! Well done Kayleigh!
It's only Monday and I've already got some lovely photos to share with you! It's so inspiring to see the variety of activities you've all been taking part in considering we are all very much restricted at the moment. I'm pleased to see that lots of you are continuing to bake and it's especially nice to see that several of you have been working alongside your older brothers and sisters with various projects and science experiments. It's so important that we work together at times like these. Well done Lucy for doing the Joe Wicks workout on your trampoline this morning. It's tough enough doing it on the floor! Keep sending your wonderful photos in!
Last week's challenge was to send me a selfie with your favourite toy! It seems that cuddly toys are a definite favourite! Thank you for sending them in to me. Enjoy the photos below...
