Last Thursday, we enjoyed celebrating the 80th anniversary of VE day. Everyone was dressed in red, white and blue, and we spent time on the field having a lovely picnic and sharing some food together. Because we've been learning about Twentieth Century Conflict in history lessons, Mr Calderwood shared some of his family history with us and we had the chance to look through a photo album documenting his Great Grandad's journey through Europe as a German soldier in WW2. We even saw and were able to hold the camera which he took with him.
