We've had a busy couple of weeks in Year 6. Last week, a highlight was going to Year 1 to read with reading buddies. The Year 6 children were so enthusiastic and engaged; it was really lovely to see them being positive role models!
Back in class, children have worked hard in all of their subjects. In science, we investigated how we can tell a chemical reaction has taken place and we mixed bicarbonate of soda with vinegar to observe this in action. In history, we learnt how Devon changed during the industrial revolution. Our Maths learning has focused on the four operations and children are also working particularly hard on their arithmetic. In English, we've designed a monument to the Windrush generation and we will be writing a persuasive pitch based on this. Until next time! Comments are closed.
