Last week we shared collages of our favourite things. This week we all brought in our favourite stories and talked about each one with the class. We are getting to know each other very well, learn about our similarities and differences and take turns. We have been making the most of the glorious weather this week with plenty of outdoor learning opportunities.  This week we have started learning letter sounds using the Read Write Inc scheme. We have learnt to read, say and write m,a,s,d,t with the help of Fred Frog.  To find out more about the theme threading through our learning in Year R this half term, follow the link below.

All the children have started school with a smile on their face and a spring in their step; trying new things and meeting new people. We are so proud of how everyone has got along this week. Here is a slide show of things we have been up to on our first week at school. We have enjoyed our first PE session. We changed into our kits and practised throwing and moving around spaces.  All the Year R staff are looking forward to welcoming a new class. |
