Opticians Role-Play
We've had lots of fun playing in our Opticians role play area this week. We've been practicing our phonics by testing each other's eye sight and have especially enjoyed trying on all the different glasses.

Speech and Language Therapist Visit
Speech and Language Therapist, Alice, came to visit us this week. She told us how she helps children that find talking tricky. She taught us some sign language and even gave us all our names in Braille!

Police Visit
This week Police Officer Rebecca came in to meet us. We learned about how the Police help people and had a great time exploring the Police Van. We've also had a Police Station in our role-play area, made our own police hats and used our knowledge of repeating patterns to make police cars.

Nurse Visit
We enjoyed a visit from Nurse Mandy last week. She showed us some of the special equipment that she uses to help people.

Real Life Superheroes
We have enjoyed learning about some real life Superheroes in Year R, both past and present. We have learnt about Florence Nightingale and Marie Curie, we had a fun visit from a Midwife last week and we are looking forward to meeting a Nurse this week.
