Well done to all the children for running so well at Sports Day this morning! And thank you to all the grown ups who came along to support them! It was a lovely morning . . .

Keeping Cool
We've found lots of ways to keep cool during the heatwave, including paddling, lots of water play, making our own ice-creams, lollies and cold fruit kebabs and, of course, eating them!

Releasing the Butterflies
We have been carefully watching our caterpillars grow, build their chrysalis' and emerge as beautiful butterflies. Today was the day we released them into the wild.

Farm Visit
We had a lovely time visiting Mrs Glover's farm. We especially enjoyed seeing the lambs and the calves.
Thank you Mrs Glover!

Growing
This half-term our topic in Preschool is 'Growing.' We've had lots of fun planting, drawing and painting flowers. We even helped Katie H to put together a new planter for our garden. We're excited to see what grows!

Happy Easter!
We've had lots of fun celebrating Easter in Preschool. We've made cards, decorations and chocolate nests and we had a lovely 'Easter Party and Egg Hunt' with our grown-ups today!

We're Going on a Bear Hunt

Meeting Katie's Puppy
We all loved meeting Katie's puppy, Benji! We fed him, stroked him and gave him cuddles and we all remembered to be gentle with him.

World Book Day
We had lots of fun dressing up and sharing stories for World Book Day.

Pets in Preschool
We've enjoyed learning about Pets in Preschool this week. We've had lots of fun meeting dogs, stick insects and even a pet chicken! Thank you to all of the grown-ups who have helped us with this.

Speech and Language Therapist, Alice, came to visit us as part of our 'People Who Help Us' topic. She told us how she helps children that find talking tricky. She taught us some sign language and even gave us all our names in Braille!

People Who Help Us
The children in Little Beacons have enjoyed learning all about 'People Who Help Us' this half term.
They've enjoyed visits from a Nurse, a Midwife and a Police Officer and have turned their role-play area into a Vets, a Hospital and a Police Station -it's been lots of fun!
