What an afternoon we had on Friday! The crowns were spectacular and we so enjoyed our procession through the village. Thank you to everyone who came out to see us; it was such a special occasion. Despite the very gloomy forecast, the sun came out for us and our coronation picnic was able to go ahead outside. We had a lovely afternoon picnicking, partying and playing on the field.

I am sure that everyone will join me in wishing good luck to our year 6 pupils who will sit their Key Stage 2 SATs next week. We're so proud of the way the class have worked and behaved all year and know that they will all do their very best in their assessments. Good luck, to you all.

On Thursday and Friday, our Year 4 and 5 classes will be going on their residential to the Manor and Ashbury Hotel where they have a very exciting timetable of activities planned. We hope they all have a wonderful time and can't wait to see photos and hear all about it.

Year 4 Cricket Festival

Menu Change Thursday 18th May

Our summer school census will take place on Thursday 18th May. Please help us to maximise our funding for next year by booking your son/daughter a school dinner on this day. There will be a special census day menu as follows:

Fully Loaded Breakfast MAT Muffin served with Baked Beans
Or
Fully Loaded Vegetarian Breakfast MAT Muffin served with
Baked Beans

Followed by
Rainbow Sprinkle Celebration Cake

PTA News

D.I.S.C.O postponed
Sadly we have had to make the decision to postpone the disco planned for May 19th - we're really sorry to everyone who was looking forward to it....but watch this space for a new disco date, hopefully in June!!

Bags2School
Please bring your unwanted clothes and textiles, which are recycled and the PTA are paid according to the weight of the donation. Please bring your bags to the function room in the The Kings Arms pub (a huge thank you to Carolyn for allowing us to be use the pub!) on either Monday 5th or Tuesday 6th morning please!

Duvets and blankets
Pillows and cushions
Carpets, rugs and mats (including bath, shower and toilet mats)
Soiled, painted, ripped or wet clothing
School uniforms with and without logo
Corporate clothing and workwear
Textile off cuts, yarns or threaded materia
