What a lovely, lovely day we've had today! Our Jubilee picnic was such a happy and an amazing experience. Firstly, everyone looked so amazing in their red, white and blue clothes. Secondly, the weather couldn't have been better. Thirdly, some wonderful fairies (thanks PTA and Dawn!) ensured that we arrived at school this morning to find every inch of fencing and boundary bedecked in red, white and blue bunting! Lastly, we gathered together on the playground to enjoy the most terrific picnic party. The children chose where to sit and mixed with pupils from other classes to really enjoy being part of South Tawton's wonderful friendly, family atmosphere! Thank you to all the staff and children who helped to set up and clear away the playground. Thanks to all the parents and children who baked and provided such a delicious feast. I feel that South Tawton Primary has celebrated the Platinum Jubilee in style. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute and am so very proud of our community. Special thanks are also due to Mrs Watkins and Mrs Everett who made this spectacular event happen. Goodbye, Mrs Horsley.
