In English, we started a new unit of work this week. We have been discovering the non-Fiction text 'Animalium' and considering our likes, dislikes, puzzles and patterns about the book. 

In PE, Year 5 are learning to become Real Leaders. We've been thinking about the qualities that make a good leader.

​In our SCARF lessons, some pupils acted out how they'd respond to 'risky dares' and we discussed how we could help others who feel pressured by friends to do something risky. 

It's been lovely to see pupils back in class this week, they have all come back with such a positive and calm attitude. 

We have started a new History topic of the Benin Kingdom and in Science we will be studying the changes that humans go through from an embryo to old age. In art, we are currently researching Pablo Picasso's cubist art and later in the term we will use this information to see how he was influenced by African art.
