Below are some of the photos from our walk last Friday, it was a beautiful day to be discovering our local area. Ian explained lots about the fauna and flora; we saw orchids, a buck, ancient burial grounds and found out about the history of the area. It was a very lovely day out. 

We had a super day today finding out more about our local area on Dartmoor. More photos to come. 

Well done to everyone for taking part in the Quadkids organised by OCRA on Tuesday. This involved standing jump, throwing and running. Everyone did brilliantly. 

How can we clean our dirty water? 
97% of the world's water is salt water and the oceans are becoming more polluted with rubbish. Year 5 experimented with cleaning dirty water this week, with some very successful results. We also discussed the next steps of removing the salt from the water to make it drinkable. 

Young Entrepreneurs 
We started a new topic of 'Young Entrepreneurs' this week and we saw some impressive sales pitches from some of the Year 5 pupils.
