Learning about Levers
​After experimenting how to balance a ruler with: two different sized coins, a pencil and a ruler, the class conducted an experiment to explain how we can lift a Kg weight using a lever. 

In English we are studying Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book. On Thursday afternoon, we read with our Year R Reading Buddies and  helped them practise their letter sounds.

With balancing tables, benches and mats out, the class performed sequences in PE involving balances, twists and jumps, displaying great control and some superb rolls to finish.

In Science, Year 5 are learning about Forces. This week we studied the effects of Gravity and Air Resistance on objects. We used this learning to try and create parachutes that would safely land an egg.
