To start our new Geography and Science topics of Biomes and Plants & Living Things, Year 5 visited the Eden Project this week.
We learnt lots about adaptations and went on an exploration of the Rainforest Biome, trying to hunt particular species of plant. Jamie, the education officer, taught us about how plants protect themselves. One group particularly enjoyed watching touch-me-not plants close themselves to stop goats eating them!
Pupils were impeccably behaved, Eden staff commented on the interesting questions that were asked & their eagerness to learn. Well done Year 5, it was a pleasure taking you on this trip.
