Merry Christmas and Happy New YearAll the staff in Year 5 would like to wish the pupils and their families a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2023. We've really enjoyed this term and we're looking forward to seeing you all in January. Term starts back on Wednesday 5th January.
Best Wishes Mrs Leslie, Mrs Bonnett and Miss Watts. Last week in Year 5, the children all designed a gingerbread figure to decorate the School hall (along with the other classes), for Christmas. As Miss Watts and I stuck them on the window, we saw all the cleverly thought out designs the children had made. They all look very Christmassy- well done Year 5!
On Wednesday afternoon, we had some visitors in school from Proper Job, Chagford. The ladies taught us about what it means to be more sustainable, through reusing, reducing and recycling our belongings, which we no longer want. All the children made a Christmas wreath using recycled fabrics, supplied by Proper Job, and each child attached their pledge for how they would make their own Christmas more sustainable this year. The wreaths all looked stunning. Mrs Bonnett, Mrs Leslie & Miss Watts |
