Welcome Back Year 5

​Welcome back to the start of a new academic year, I hope you've had a fantastic summer break. Mrs Bonnet and I are looking forward to welcoming the children back into class on Tuesday. To remind you, Year 5 children can enter the playground at 8.50am where I will be there to greet them and we will start class at 9am. Our finish time will be 3.30pm. 

I appreciate that coming back to school is going to be very daunting for some and incredibly exciting for others and we have kept the week flexible to accommodate everyone's feelings.  We will spend most of Tuesday morning catching up with each other and going over class housekeeping such timetables, resources and handing out books and new stationary. Children are welcome to bring in their own pencil case filled with personal drawing and writing goodies however I will also be handing out individual pencil cases which we'll fill with everything they'll need for work during the school day (such as writing pen, pencil, rubber, glue stick etc..). This will hopefully minimise the need to walk around the classroom during lesson time. 

Below is a picture of the what the classroom looks like, the only real change is that all tables will be facing forward. We will be staying in our class 'bubble' for the day and not mixing with other classes at any point whilst in school. Break and lunch times will be as usual at 10.45am and 12.30pm. 

Please can all children bring their PE kit with them tomorrow, we will be having outdoor PE on Wednesday this week.

We're very much looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday.
