As part of our Art work we have been exploring colour and the work of the Russian painter, Wassily Kandinksy.

As part of pour Science topic 'Living things' we have been discussing what it means to be a living thing. We went for a walk around the school grounds to look for things that were 'dead', 'alive' or 'things that had never been alive'. The children held some great discussions about how they would categorise the different items that they'd found. 

"Living things need water." Tilly.

"They get rid of their waste and they move." Ted.

"Living things reproduce.... they have babies." Annabel. 

"Living things move and they have babies." William.

Year Two have had great fun constructing, decorating and finally burning their tudor houses.
