It has been another busy week for Year Two and we have been so impressed by the way in which the children have settled back into school life. We really enjoyed our Saints session on Wednesday and were focusing on teamwok and ball skills, during this.
Please remember that the children will need to have their P.E kits in school on a Wednesday and a Friday. For the next few weeks we will be having our P.E session at the end of the day on a Wednesday, therefore the children will be coming home in their P.E kits. Please ensure that their kits are back in school for our Friday session. Our reading books will be changed on a Friday, please ensure that the childrens Read, Write inc zippy wallets are in school so that we are able to issue new books. If anyone has any books at home that they haven't returned, please return these as soon as possible. It's vitally important that we have all of the books returned, to allow for each phonics group to have the correct set of books. Have a wonderful weekend and we look forward to seeing you next week Mrs Dennis and Mrs Horsley. It has been a very exciting week for all of us in Year Two; reuniting with our friends after such a long time, adjusting to our new classroom and getting back into a school routine. The children have very quickly settled back into school life and our new normal and have made an excellent start to Year Two.
Our new reading area has proved very popular with all members of the class. Especially, when we received an order of topic boxes today, we now have lots more fantastic books to read and enjoy! Have a wonderful weekend... I think there may be several tired members of Year Two tonight. Mrs Dennis. Welcome back to the start of a new academic year, I hope that you have had a wonderful summer holiday. Mrs Horsley and I are really looking forward to welcoming all of the children back tomorrow! We will be meeting you at the gate, at the bottom of the ramp, when you arrive between 8:50 and 9:00 in the morning. Our finish time will be 15:30.
I appreciate that coming back to school is going to be very daunting for some and incredibly exciting for others. The children are more than welcome to bring in their own pencil cases, but I will provide them with all of the equipment that they will need. This term we will have P.E on a Wednesday and a Friday, starting this week, so please ensure you have your P.E kit in school on these days. We will no longer be taking a dinner register, so please ensure that you also sign up for lunch options on your school gateway account. We are looking forward to seeing you in the morning. Mrs Dennis and Mrs Horsley. |
