We finished the night with a hot chocolate. Everyone was super and we started the day with everyone up bright and cheery!
We started the day with breakfast and games. We joined forces with breakfast for a rather large breakfast! Once we had packed everything away we started our first aid with Joe Rice looking at the primary survey, what being a first aider meant and also CPR and choking. Use 112 to phone the emergency services because you can use it in any country in Europe. Jess. We learnt that you need to know your address. Pippa. You have to do 30 chest compressions and 2 rescue breaths. Lewi. When someone is choking, you might have to do 5 back blows and then 5 abdominal thrusts. Tilly. What fun we've had!! Excitement has once again been high for our fourth day of Wild Week. We've played games, eaten pizza, watched a film and taken part in our super, annual Music concert. A huge well done to all of the children for such a super concert and a massive thank you to Mrs Dunn for all her amazing hard work in organising it. A big thank you to Mrs Dunn, Mrs Bond and Mr Wilkins for all of their help in allowing the sleepover to happen. Thank you also to Miss Rowe for all her help during the evening.
We had a fantastic day travelling on the train to Exmouth with the Year One class. A huge thank you to Mike Parker-Bray for travelling with us and talking to us all about trains and safety. But also for organising free train tickets for the Year One children as part of the Devon and Cornwall rail partnership. A huge thank you to Mrs Snell, Ruth, Miss Murphy, Amanda, Emma, Helen, Piers, and Lucy for all of their help.
We are very excited about the music concert and sleepover!! Today Year 2 had a great day at The Manor House Hotel. Thank you ever so much to Miss Murphy, Katherine, Sarah and Emma for all of their help today. We started our day with a swim and play in the pool with the slides. Thank you very much to Mr Wilkins, Mrs Bazeley and Miss Barton for joining us to help with this activity. It was then time to run around and build dens in the indoor soft play, funhouse. After a spot of lunch and a run around the field, we then enjoyed playing on the pedal karts and producing some super glass jars using their special engraving machines. It's safe to say, a super day was had by all!! We're looking forward to our trip on the train tomorrow to Exmouth!
Year Two had a fantastic day at Rosemoor Gardens. A huge thank you to Miss Murphy, Kate, Mike, Sarah and Tilly for all their help and for giving up their time to come with us today. We took part in an inspirational nature workshop with Nicky from Rosemoor. We were able to explore the gardens and look at different art techniques. We used watercolours to produce some wonderful artwork. We all had a super day and we're looking forward to the next day of our Wild Week tomorrow at The Manor House Hotel. As part of our Maths work, Year Two took their learning outside to create giant board games in which they were the pieces. They used their positional language to navigate around the boards and finished off with an ice lolly in the sunshine.
