It has been a busy, sunny Tuesday for Year Two!! We started our day dancing, following Emily's super dance video that she created for us. In Art, we have been looking at drawing people, focusing on their personalities and interests. We looked at the work from David Hockney, Peter Blake and Frances Hodgkins. Have a look at the brilliant display we created! I wonder if you can spot any of the familiar faces! My Parents by David Hockney. Self portrait with badges by Peter Blake. Portrait of Kitty West by Frances Hodgkins. We have been revisiting our work on Statistics and carried out a traffic survey around the village. We have also added to our Book nooks display; adding some more fantastic creations.
As part of our PSHE work, we have been discussing the 'highs and lows' of lockdown for the children. The children shared some very thoughtful parts of lockdown that they'd enjoyed and lots of the children had parts of the lockdown that they would like to keep once normality resumed. Missing family and friends was a recurring theme for the children when discussing our low points and so many of the children were overjoyed to see their friends after the long time apart. We finished our day with some butterfly yoga. Mrs Dennis. Comments are closed.
