Year Two had a fantastic start to our day with a visit from the World life Animal visits. We were lucky enough to be able to see and touch a ghecko, a millipede, an african land snail, a tarantula, a madagascan hissing cockroach, a scorpion and a python. It was fantastic to be able to see some of the animals up close through the use of Hannah and Dave's special microscopic camera. We learnt lots of fantastic facts about the animals.
Millipedes can shred- Patrick. A reticulated python is the biggest snake in the world- Oliver. If you step on a cockroach it will not survive, but it can survive for up to 3 days without a head- Ted. A ghecko has 3 eyes, one is on the top of it's head- Conrad. Millipedes curl up into a ball when they are scared- Isabelle. Milliepede's have 260 legs- Alannah. A tarantula could blind you- Alex. Mrs Dennis and Mrs Horsley. Comments are closed.
