Good Morning Year Two,

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I loved seeing all of your screen free Friday pictures.

Monday 8th February 2021.

9:00- We are starting our day with Joe Wicks.

9:20- *Live* Registration.

9:30- Grey group Phonics with Mrs Dennis.
         Purple group Phonics with Miss Rowe. 

10:00- Yellow group phonics with Mrs Dennis.
             Pink group Phonics with Miss Rowe. 

Literacy- Talk for writing. Read the story and complete the questions on page 6 of the booklet.

11:00- Maths. Block diagrams.

White Rose maths sheet. 

Extension challenge: Choose your own line of enquiry to create a tally table. It could be how many coloured pencils you have, cuddly toys names, how many times your family members can hop on the spot. It can be anything, the choice is yours. Then use this data to create a pictogram and a block graph. 

12:00- Lunch.

13:00- *Live* Maths feedback.

13:30- PSHE.
  • When do you feel safe?
  • Where do you feel safe?
  • Who makes you feel safe?
  • Are there ever any situations where we feel unsafe? 
  • When we feel unsafe, uncomfortable about something or worried, nervous or frightened how does our body tell us that?
Complete the safety sheet attached.

Finally, talk about the special people whose job it is to help us feel safe - this can include: 
  • Family members
  • Teachers
  • Police officers
  • Road crossing patrol officers
  • Sales Assistants in shops (if children are lost). Talk about how the children would know how to recognised these people (e.g. uniform, at the tills etc.

Computing. 
Using the Fakebot from last week, have a go at making your own creative land for your Fakebot to travel around. I have included a few... although these are very paper heavy, so you might prefer to make your own.
