Another successful week filled with fantastic stories, some brilliant junk modelling, excellent maths work and our first 'Screen Free' Friday.
I hope you all made the most of your time away from the screen; I've had some lovely photos sent to me - have a look below. Next week, we'll be moving onto a new topic in English and maths. I hope you all have a lovely weekend. Well done to all of you for another successful week. There has been some really lovely examples of writing produced this week, as well as some excellent art work and thoughtful comments in RE and SCARF. Great job, everyone! Below, there are some examples of the similes and metaphors you created in English and a picture of the children in school working with the Saints coaches.
Next week, we will be creating junk models in art, so can you please keep some of your recycling. I would also like to fill next week's blog with pictures of what you've been up to in your free time. Please send me some pictures of you walking, cycling, gardening or anything else you've been doing in the fresh air. Please make the most of the sunny (albeit chilly) weather that we are forecast this weekend! Have a lovely weekend. Some of your similes and metaphors The Tree of life is as tall as a mountain. The tractor is a ferocious beast, its wheels tearing through the ground. Freddie T Frog’s skin is a piece of sandpaper The city was a graveyard. The polar bears were as white as a pillow sheet. The waterfall is an explosion of sea dragon’s fury. That's week two complete! Well done to all of you; you continue to show just how hardworking and perseverant you are! You have created some really lovely work this week. I particularly enjoyed every single one of your TV and Radio adverts; they really did make me smile and laugh - something that is so important at a time like this! If you'd like me to share yours on our class blog, please let me know and I'll will try my best to upload it.
I hope the weather stays dry this weekend so you can all get some fresh air and stretch your legs. Have a lovely weekend and see you all on Monday morning at 9:15. It's not the start to 2021 we all hoped for, but as always, you've tackled it head on. You've produced some fantastic work; I particularly liked your graffiti inspired artwork and your gadget designs.
I hope the regular meetings have proved useful to you - it's lovely to see you all and it really breaks up the day in school nicely. Starting on Thursday 14th, we will be having Zoom lessons with Saints coaches. I will send out the link early next week. I hope you all have a restful weekend! |
