After a very early start to the day, our travellers are now off the ferry, on the bus and driving back to Devon. They report quite heavy traffic, so are expected to arrive back at 3:30pm - just in time for school pick up. However, this could be delayed if they get held up. When they get off the bus, the children will all come back into school and will be dismissed from there. I'm sure they are looking forward to being home and have lots to tell you!
What a wonderful last day our year 6 pupils have had! There's been archery, team building and a visit to La Haugue Bie. When Mrs Donovan sent me these photos, they were on their way out to watch the sunset at a local ancient burial site. We'll keep you updated on their journey home tomorrow.
It's been another full and fun day. Mrs Donovan has just messaged me with a round-up of today's news and they are having an amazing time. The children have enjoyed a treasure hunt at the castle, a swap in groups for coasteering and paint-balling and have still found time for plenty of singing on the beach. They are now heading back to the centre for hot chocolate before bed.
The Year 6 pupils have had such a wonderful day! Mrs Donovan tells me that the day started rather too early, so she treated them all to a 5 mile walk! They stopped for a paddle on the way. They also had their first activities - paintballing and coasteering, before heading to the beach for ice-cream. Everyone is well and happy and the weather is perfect.
I'm delighted to let you know that our Year 6 pupils have arrived safely in Jersey. Mrs Donovan reports that there has been no travel sickness and spirits are high. As you can see from the photo, they made a new friend on the ferry - comedian Romesh Ranganathan!
I'll keep you updated throughout the week. |
