We've had another lovely week in Year 6, filled with poetry and learning about coordinates. You have all worked really hard this week and produce some wonderful work. Well done to all of you.
It's was great to see you all dressed in red for Red Nose Day, too. On Monday, we will have the second round of the cross country competition, so please make sure you have your PE kit in school. Have a lovely weekend. What a week it's been! It's been so lovely to have the whole class together again. As you'll see from the photos below, everyone has been pleased to see each other again.
To begin the week, the class created some artwork based on the things they love about life (family, pets, nature, sunshine, sports etc.); they were encouraged to think about the non-material things in life that really matter. Their beautiful pieces are now on display in the classroom. We've also started a new unit in English based on Malorie Blackman's book, Cloud Busting. I think it's safe to say it is already changing the children's opinion of poetry! Well done, to all of Year 6, for their fantastic return to school. Keep it up everyone! Have a lovely weekend. It's been a very unusual first half term of 2021, but you have made it and should be very proud of yourselves! It was really lovely to see all of your book nooks this morning. I look forward to seeing them in all their colourful glory on Monday. I am very much looking forward to seeing you all again on Monday - please don't forget to bring your books nooks, family photos, magazaines/newspapers and your notes on an environmental issue with you!
Have a lovely weekend. |
