On Wednesday 1st July, (tomorrow) and Thursday 9th July, Mr Derek Brett & Mrs Bernie Hatchipuka will be visiting our Year 6 'bubbles', in school, at 9:30am. Wednesday's visit will be for Group 5 (with Mrs Donovan) & Thursday 9th's visit will be for Group 6 (with Mrs Everett).
The College staff will be visiting school to talk to the Year 6 students about the transition to College, in September. *If you are in a 'bubble', but not due in school on either day, Mrs Everett is encouraging you to come in, even if it's just for the hour from 9:30am. If you are not currently attending school, details of two separate Zoom meetings have been emailed out to parents/carers, for the times of each of the meetings in school. It would be a great opportunity to listen to the talks from the College staff, and to ask any questions you may have. Literacy

Maths Monday Video Answers Tuesday Video Answers Wednesday Video Answers Thursday Video Answers BBC Bitesize Daily lessons Topic Boats Science Investigation This afternoon on Zoom, many Year 6 children got together for a game of 20 Questions. One person at a time had to think of a person, place, country or object. The other children then asked questions, which were only allowed to have a 'yes' or 'no' answer. There were lots of good questions asked, for example, Is it a herbivore?, Is it a mammal?, Does it live in water?, and most of the clues led the children to the correct answers of, a sloth, a platypus, Mo Farah and a fox.
It was great fun and the children all enjoyed catching up with each other, on screen. Alice made a model yesterday, inspired by the new Boat topic. She used an ice cream tub for the base and covered it in orange paper. For the mast, she used a kebab stick and then decorated the sail with a beautiful rainbow design. A great Design Technology project!
It's been great to see the sun again this morning and I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend. Over the weekend, we have had sheep jumping into the garden and deadheading the plants! Please keep sending in your photos this week for the blog.
