I hope you've all had a restful half term holiday and managed to enjoy plenty of the sunshine. It's due to continue next week, so please continue to make the most of it. Below are all the activities you will need for next week. We are moving onto a new topic of Sport and Nutrition which you can access by clicking the link below. As usual, I have included the Year 5 and 6 Hamilton Trust literacy units, the Whiterose Maths units and the links for BBC Bitesize daily lessons. Remember, you can complete as much as you like and be creative if you wish. Please don't forget to email me through any examples of work or to ask any questions if you need help. Well done to all of you for your continued hard work and efforts. I hope you all have a wonderful break which includes lots of fun, rest and relaxation.
Abi has sent a lovely selection of photos of all the sea-themed activities she has completed along with her sister. Take a look below. Stay safe and see you in June! Mrs Everett Tomorrow is 'Free Day'. As you are normally rewarded for your hard work with a Free Day at the end of each half term, I have decided that tomorrow should be no different. Make the most of this wonderful weather and enjoy yourselves! Grace and Maisie have both been busy creating different fact files. Take a look below to find out what they have been researching. Emily has created her own choreographed dance to a track called 'Dusk til Dawn'. Watch the video below to see her great moves. Well done, Emily! Ewan has been working hard (with a little help from his dad) building his very own level crossing. I'm sure you'll agree it looks just like the real thing. Great job, Ewan! I've had several emails from many of you, over the past few days, sharing all the fantastic things you've been getting up to. It really us great to see, so please keep them coming. It looks like the sun will be around for the rest of the week, so what better way to celebrate this than to declare Friday as a Free Day? On Friday, I want to make the most of the glorious weather and reward yourselves with a work-free day! At times like these, taking care of our mental health is more important that ever. This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and over on our School Well-being page are some links to some simple activities which you may enjoy. Below you'll find all the links you need for next week. It will be the second week of our 'Under the Sea' topic; you've been really creative so far this week, so don't forget to send me more pictures next week, please. As usual, you'll find the a link for the BBC Bitesize daily lessons as well as the White Rose maths and Hamilton Trust Literacy. Hamilton Trust is focusing on a text by the author Shaun Tan; he's one of my favourites, and we've already partly explored one of his books this year: The Arrival. It may be a unit you'll enjoy. Links for NZ maths and Nrich are also below if you fancy having a go at some problem solving activities. The weather is looking promising for next week, so please make the most of the sunshine when you can.
