We've almost made it to the end of term. It's been a rather strange term, with isolation and home learning, but the children have continued to work hard. Today, we started to get into the festive spirit with our Christingle service. It wasn't quite the same as normal, but it was still lovely to see all the candles lit and to hear some carols.
I hope everyone has a really enjoyable and restful Christmas break with family and friends (as much you are able to of course). See you all on Tuesday 5th January! This week has proven to be an incredibly busy one. Year 6 have completed all their assessments, practised Christmas carols and today, took part in the Santa Dash. The children looked fantastic in their Christmas clothes and had great fun. A big 'well done' must also go to them for their hard work and concentration during the assessments.
Have a lovely weekend, everyone! Well done, everyone, you have made it to the end of your isolation! It's been a strange couple of weeks, but you have worked incredibly hard and produced some work that you deserve to be proud of. I really enjoyed reading your explanations about evolution - you can read Matilda's, below. During the week, you have also worked incredibly hard on improving your understanding of fractions, created some lovely artwork, completed some SCARF activities and had a go at coding via the 'Hour of Code' website. I'm really looking forward to seeing you all next week, being back in the classroom and returning to some form of normality! Have a lovely weekend and make the most of your regained freedom! |
