This week, the children in Year 3 have been working hard to learn their times tables facts.
We have been looking at the 2, 5 and 3 times tables. The children have been investigating the link between multiplication and division. They have used counters to show that division questions can also be solved by sharing or grouping.
The children should now all have access to Times Tables Rockstar's and can work on their multiplication knowledge at home.

The children were very excited to come to school dressed up today!
They are wearing clothes that show 'what they want to be when they are older.'

We have been reading The BFG by Roald Dahl. 

We have thought about our favourite parts of the story:

As part of our Science topic this term, we have been learning about raw and synthetic materials.
We have learnt that raw materials can come from living things or they can be found under the ground.
We have learnt that synthetic materials are made by humans and have a variety of uses.
This week, the children enjoyed investigating different materials and sorting them into groups.
