Challenge: Do you know which country this flag belongs to?
What a lucky teacher I am! I have heard from a whopping 16 of you over the past two days! I have loved every single email, photo and message I have received and it is great to see you all so busy and enjoying yourselves. It definitely makes it a bit more bearable. Here are some more fantastic photos sent in today. A lot of amazing totem poles, Americas research and a cocoon opening! I cannot wait to find out the definite species of Alex's butterfly that made its home in their bathroom. What a fantastic thing to see! Good morning Year 3! We hope you are all well today, despite the weather, and are looking forward to hearing from more of you today. I have found some really good 'Mathopoly' games on Twinkl this morning for you to have a look at. I may even download and print off some of them to play against Adam! I haven't uploaded any in particular but there are KS1 games and KS2 games - you could then pick your own challenge! If you haven't already, you can get the Twinkl resources free during lockdown, just go to www.twinkl.co.uk/offer and use the code CVDTWINKLHELPS when signing up. Type 'mathopoly' into the search bar and then choose KS1 or KS2 from the drop down list. Please PLEASE send in any pictures if you try out these games. Here's to a terrific Tuesday! Wow! What a fun animation. Thank you, Sonny! Enjoy watching it Year 3.
What a busy day for me...I have heard from half the class and I have loved reading every single message! Thank you Year 3! Please keep these emails and messages coming. Here are some lovely photos received today. We have had a real mix of work sent in; a totem pole, still caterpillar finding, paddling pool fun, making rainbow coloured water pots, planning out healthy meals, drawing birthday cards, camping, playing with pets, tie dyeing with cabbage (who would've thought?!), making recycled bird feeders, bike riding and plenty more. I am already looking forward to tomorrow! Hello all you lovely year 3s! Here's to the next week filled with love, laughter and smiles. We are here for you when you need and are looking forward to your messages in, photos and happy faces. Please remember that we love hearing from you, even if it is just to say 'Hi!' If you wish, here are the links to the Hamilton Literacy plans, if you are enjoying them and wish to continue...THESE ARE NOT MANDATORY!!! Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Past and Present Tense PPT Perfect Form PPT Progressive Tense PPT Happy Monday! Here are your home learning activities for next week. As mentioned in the earlier letter home to you, we are going to trial using the BBC Bitesize Literacy resources this week, instead of the Hamilton Trust Units (less printing and more child friendly). We will still be using the White Rose maths as this falls in line with how we teach the children in school. There are BBC Bitesize maths resources if you wish to try any of them as well. Maths White Rose Summer Term wc 27th April - Fraction work Literacy (please follow the links as we have begun on last weeks lessons) Monday identifying nouns Tuesday identifying pronouns Wednesday identifying adjectives Thursday identifying verbs Friday - topic based writing but try to include nouns, pronouns, adjectives and verbs. Your challenge could be to highlight all four in your writing with different colours! Topic It's time for our new topic for the next two weeks. This time, it's 'The Americas'. Feel free to access this learning as you wish and try to hit lots of subject areas. We will be leaving Fridays Literacy free for an extended piece of writing. You can take an idea from the topic web page for this (there are a range!). As we did for Butterflies, we have given you the links for both the KS1 and KS2 ideas (there are so many on both you can access). KS1 The Americas KS2 The Americas Have fun and thank you for a lovely week, we are already looking forward to seeing what you get up to next week. Have a fantastic weekend!
