We were very lucky with the dry, sunny weather on Monday for our morning at forest school. We enjoyed some free play, exploring the mud kitchen, the climbing wall, the car and even searching for worms under the rocks. 
Linking to our learning in science about materials, we did a scavenger hunt for the properties of different items. We searched for something soft, prickly, shiny etc. 
Of course we finished the session off with a hot chocolate and biscuits! 

The children had a wonderful time listening to stories, looking at and purchasing their very own books from The Bookery on Tuesday.

What a joy to see Year 1 and Year 6 spend time together sharing stories! We haven't done this for a very long time due to Covid restrictions but the children absolutely LOVED it so we will definitely find time to buddy up with a reading partner again soon.
