Good morning Year One,
We hope you have had a fabulous weekend. We are ready to start another week of great learning and this week our topic is 'Our Dramatic Weather', there are so many ideas for different activities on the topic web so please choose something that inspires you! A little challenge that you might like to try out this week is creating a weather chart or diary. You can take real observations each day of the weather you can see outside of your house or at school. I wonder if our observations will be the same or different... what do you think? We made feelings wheels and talked about how we feel in different situations. We also had a socially distanced photo with our other Year 1 group dressed as fierce pirates! Ahhhhh haarrrrrr!
Good morning Year One,
We hope you are having a great week so far. Don't forget to send any pictures of what you get up to so that we can keep our blog updated. We love seeing all of the fabulous work and anything pirate themed! It's another beautiful, sunny day today. Why not get outside and have a go at a pirate scavenger hunt? There are two different checklists available here and here. Good luck on your hunt for treasure, our little adventure seeking pirates! Have a great day. Take care, Miss Rowe and Mrs Dennis. Good morning Year One, It's Monday again! We hope you had a lovely weekend. It was great to see the sun shining again and it looks as though it's going to be another nice day today. If you get the chance, Why not have a go at creating a Pirate telescope? You could take it outside with you for a pirate adventure and see what treasure you can spot! Have a look at the pictures below for inspiration or you can try the paper model which can be found by clicking here. We're aware that, for some of you, the home learning has become a little trickier and some children are feeling less motivated and enthusiastic about doing work. Please remember we are always here to support and if you have concerns please share them with us.
We hope you have a wonderful week and are very much looking forward to seeing lots of you on our pirate fancy dress party zoom on Thursday! Take care, Miss Rowe and Mrs Dennis Your home learning for this week is as follows:

It's been lovely to hear what lots of you have been up to so far this week. Mrs Dennis, Mrs Peters and Miss Chalcraft have been very busy with the children in school who have been loving the pirate topic. Let's get our blog talking... send us your favourite pirate joke. We would love to hear them and I'm sure your friends would too. 'What's a pirates favourite country?' Arrrrrrgentina! Here is a link to a selection of 18 different pirate songs and sound tracks. Perhaps you could make up a dance to one of the songs? Or listen to the music while heading out on your pirate adventure?
