What a fabulous final week of term we have had in year one! It has been a busy one with Christmas lunch, Christingle, performing our wonderful nativity 'Behind the Stable Door' and a little Christmas party to round off the week. It has been a crazy term for everyone but we are so proud of how hard the children have worked and everything they have achieved.
We hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and a happy and healthy 2021! Miss Rowe and Mrs Bazeley. This week we managed to avoid the rain and enjoy an afternoon in the outdoor learning area. This week's theme was Stick Man by Julia Donaldson. We enjoyed a hot chocolate around the camp fire while we listened to the story and spotted the different seasons and types of weather that Stick Man encountered. We collected some suitable sticks and made our very own Stick people! The children did a wonderful job of creating their Stick families and have since been playing with their stick people in the class, creating wonderful stories and dialogue to go with it.
