Summer 2 Week 1

It has been a lovely warm start back to the last half term. The children have settled back in to routines and we have started our new learning. I am really sorry but we have not managed to get any photos this week as we have been so busy!
In English, we have started reading 'The Lost Thing' by Shaun Tan. We have been exploring the characters, writing character descriptions and using adjectives, similes and metaphors. 
The story was also remade into a short film which we will be using in class to help us with some writing. 
In History, we are starting to learn about the Shang Dynasty, this week we learnt about how Shang people would make decisions, and why they wrote on turtle shells. We are really enjoying the book below which is helping learn new facts in an interesting way!
