Week 5

It's been another great week in Year 3!

We started the week with a maths lesson, on the playground, to help us learn about ordering numbers. The children had great fun drawing number lines and writing their answers on the playground. We have finished place value now and are moving on the next unit, addition and subtraction.

To conclude our dragons unit in English, we have started exploring explanation texts and the children will write their own explanations about how to look after a pet dragon.
Over the past couple of days, the children have worked with a partner to complete a short explanation about different parts of a dragon's body. The example below is an explanation we wrote together as a class. Some of the children have written a neat version and it has been added to our display in class.
