Year 3 had a brilliant last week and topped it all off with a lovely day, yesterday. In English this week, the class worked hard to finish writing their letters to Michael Morpurgo. All of the children have chosen questions to ask the famous author and, on Friday, we went to the local Post Office to send them to London. Fingers crossed , we’ll receive a reply soon! After we had posted the letters, we headed to the Forest School to create some forest faces for the final part of the Picasso art unit. The children used clay and the natural materials they could find around them. The week was finished off with our whole-school Jubilee tea party. It was a wonderful atmosphere and the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves (and all their food) in the sunshine. Enjoy the half-term break, everyone!
