You have been wonderful Year 4, thank you.
Miss Chalcraft, Miss Bennett, Mrs White and Mrs West Dave and V were full of super information about these beauties, we even saw the millipede up close and the bugs that live on it!Shape and Symmetry a go go here in Year 4 this week. We have been exploring properties of shape and today we moved on to lines of symmetry with some pretty nifty mirror work. In Science, we have been looking at animals and their habitats and as chance would have it, we found these stunning creatures and have been looking at them under the microscope.
This week also saw Year 4 enjoying Circus Skills on Monday (photos above) and have been visited by a Story Teller as part of our enrichment sessions. Have a super weekend, Miss Chalcraft, Miss Bennett, Mrs White and Mrs West. Picasso inspired clay faces - Superb attention to detail over this 3 week project in Art with Mrs White. The children designed their faces last week, created them in clay this week and next will be painting them. The children used the clay cutters, wire and sculpting tools like professionals!
Rock Pool Project - As part of our in school enrichment plans (due to trips being cancelled) we were visited today by The Rockpool Project. They set up on the field and year 4 went to sketch animals from the rockpools in a scientific way with accurate labelling and also they had the opportunity to look at rockpool creatures in a mobile rockpool. All animals will be safely returned to the beach this afternoon. Ocra Ultimate Frisbee - Year 4 took part in Ultimate frisbee this morning and improved their short and longer distance throwing skills. They threw as pairs, into a funnel of cones, into a bullseye formation and distance throwing (avoiding hedge and the family of rabbits that were looking on). The children scored points for each round. Such a fun week! Have a super weekend! Miss Chalcraft, Mrs White, Mrs West and Miss Bennett |
