Well, I'm not sure that we could have even imagined what 2020 was going to be like this time last year! I can say from the bottom of my heart that Year 4 and all children at South Tawton, have risen to the challenge and embraced all this 'madness' with resilience and a positive attitude. Thank you Parents and Community for your support through out.
We wish you a very, very Happy Christmas in your bubbles and try to make the best of being together this festive period be that in person, via zoom or in heart felt messages. Stay Safe and see you in the New Year! Miss Chalcraft, Mrs White & Miss Bennett Our cards this year are reindeer with hand antlers, which are decorated to represent community and embrace diversity, surrounded with the children's favourite (up-cycled) hymn lines or verse. Our superb wildlife photographer in the making, Lilia, has shared her recent shots of our rather curious school buzzard. Year 4 have named him Bob Buzzard!
Year 4 enjoyed a full volcano immersion day today. With every part of the day carefully linked in to our volcano topic. The children enjoyed writing Volcano poetry, Volcano top trump maths linking in with our unit on measure and a science afternoon full of explosions, lava slime and general feeling of excitement! Please find below some progress shots. |
