Well done, it's nearly half term!
If you want to keep the momentum going, here are some options:
Have a wonderful break, Miss Chalcraft, Miss Bennett and Mrs White "I loved the hot chocolate and pancakes!"
"I was happy we didn't eat any real Roman food like stuffed doormouse or jellyfish!" "I loved the mud and we called our kitchen The Dartmoor Muddy Bakeoff!" "I loved falling over in the mud and getting the muddiest I have ever been!" "I loved cooking in the mud kitchen with mud and leaves, especially scooping up mud." "I was the Emperor and I had six servants for different jobs!" "I made a mud potion to heal people" Dear All, I cannot tell you how thrilled we are with the chariots you have all made! WOW! We have enjoyed a superb showcase afternoon. Very well done Year 4 and talented helpers.
Task One: Maths We have started addition and subtraction, so you will find a worksheet in your child's homework books and here is a helpful video to show methods. It gets trickier and more of a challenge from question 7 so your brains may ache! See how you go, and please don't worry if too tricky right now. Task Two: You are a food critic. Choose a meal from each course from the menu below (and find printed in your homework books) and review each course. Use your imagination (best avoid google for this please). What did it taste like? Look like? Smell like? Would you eat it again? Star rating out of 5? Task Three: Reading each evening please, checking that you understand what you are reading. If you find any new vocabulary, please write it down to share. Thank you, Miss Chalcraft, Mrs White and Miss Bennett Please find examples of our SPaG and guided reading sessions, a fabulous spontaneous poem and a show and tell of books of some of the extraordinary women we are learning about in English. We started learning about Michelle Obama and found new unknown vocabulary, discovered her talents and professions and also what sort of personality she must have to be such a high achiever and so well liked. Well done Year 4!
Oh and watch this space for a show case of Roman Chariots next week! Happy weekend! Miss Chalcraft, Miss Bennett and Mrs White English: In English we are learning about biographies (layout and presentation) and famous women. Our class text is 'Great Women who have Changed the World by Kate Pankurst'. If you have a copy at home, feel free to bring it in.

Use your homework book and create an informative poster (layout below) - please use a ruler! Ideas: Jane Austen, Gertrude Ederle, Coco Chanel, Frida Kahlo, Marie Curie, Mary Anning, Mary Seacole, Amelia Earhart, Agent Fifi, Sacagawa, Emmeline Pankhurst, Rosa Parks, Anne Frank DT / Topic: Please design and make a Roman Chariot.
