Our topic for the next two weeks is Sport and Nutrition. Please complete as much or as little as you like and don't forget to send me any work that you are particularly proud of!
Have a great week!
Thank you for working so hard with your families this last half term. I know that it's been tough not being at school and seeing your friends but you've all done so well and I'm incredibly proud of you. Thank you for sharing all of your stories with me and sending me photos of all of your accomplishments. I've loved being part of it all and it's kept me smiling! I want to wish you all a happy half term. Have a lovely, relaxing time with your family and take lots of photos so you can share them with me afterwards. Take care of each other and keep shining!
I like all animals,
Big and small,
Short and tall,
But these are my favourite of all.
I like curious, camouflaged chameleons,
Which hide in the leaves all day.
I like jumpy, slimy frogs,
Who are always there to stay.
I like grey, ferocious wolves,
Who tend to mark their place.
And elegant, emerald eyed jaguars,
They’re always up for a race.
I like long, squirmy caterpillars,
Eating green leaves with a chomp.
I like grey, wrinkly elephants,
Going stomp, stomp, STOMP!
Those are all my favourites you see,
A couple for you and a couple for me.
A couple for me and a couple for you,
In our animal kingdom made for two.
Your sea themed creations have been keeping me entertained this week. Salt dough has been a firm favourite, as have some lovely drawings and baking. I really enjoyed reading Serenity's Atlantis story, Aine's factfile on the Greenland shark and Brianna's fish riddles. Izzy has made a lovely underwater window display as well. Please enjoy some of the work below by your class mates. It's great to see how much you've enjoyed this topic.
I'd love to share this fantastic animation that Ella made with her brother and sister. They've worked super hard on it so please click on the link below and enjoy! Well done, Ella!
Marie and Mark Cassidy have created a family friendly guided meditation that you may find useful during this tricky time. Some children have been experiencing anxiety due to the virus and all its implications, so they decided to create something that may help with that a little bit. It has been designed to promote deep relaxation, relieve anxiety and improve sleep. It is a lovely family bonding activity too. It's completely free and it is accessed via the YouTube link below:
Mental Health Awareness week is focusing on the power and potential of kindness. If you would like to find out more and get involved with some fun activities, please head over to our school Well-Being blog on the link below:
