Home learning Monday 1st March 2021

Continuing with our learning about the UK, this week our focus country is Wales.  Today is St David's day. St David's day is celebrated on 1st March each year, so in honour of the people of Wales, we will be learning about traditional St David's day celebrations.
Timetable

9:15 - Welsh flag - create a welsh flag by carefully colouring the flag of Wales, using the correct colours. Then, cut and stick your flag to a paper straw, a kebab stick or a piece of rolled up paper to create a flag pole. 
9:30 or 10:00 - *Live Phonics with Miss Rowe or Mrs Dennis 
10:30 - Snack and play 
11:00 - Maths - Introducing the ruler -    vimeo.com/510394004  - What objects can you find in your home to measure with a ruler or tape measure? 
12:00 - Lunch 
​13:00 - *Live - Registration and Topic - Wales - all about St David's Day celebrations. 
13:30 - Create a Welsh daffodil emblem - There are different ways you can create your emblem, you can choose from the following or use your own idea. If you have a safety pin you could ask an adult to try and attach it to your top so you can wear it.
