Brianna and her sister used their amazing step dancing skills to put together a dance linked to our butterfly topic work. The step dance represents the life cycle of a butterfly. Brianna explained: "The first bit with the small, more stationary steps (called 'basics', 'walk the heels' and 'hiccups') represents the egg, then the 'chugs' forward and backwards represent the movement of the caterpillar. After that there are 'turning basics' to represent the chrysalis being spun and then the 'cowboys' (where we tap with their heels and then hop) show the butterfly breaking out of the chrysalis. The rest of the dance are bigger movements representing the butterfly, including a step they made up that they call 'flaps'." Well done Brianna. I hope you all enjoy watching it! Comments are closed.
