Triple Stone Row: Year 4 had a wonderful walk from our very own doorstep to the Triple Row just beneath Cawsand (also known as Cosdon). We were told super tales of times gone by Charles Scott including information about granite splitting using feather and wedges, burial chambers and blocking gates to keep spirits out at the base of the row. We were blessed with the weather and got through many re-fills of water on the way. In Science, we have been looking at Living Things and their habitats, this week we had a closer look at the animals and used our sketching skills and sketch books to pay close attention to the intricate detail of the animals in our local area by learning an enlargement technique.
Mrs White is teaching Art skills through a variety of artists local and further afield, this weeks artist is called Faye Akassa who is a gifted sand artist from Senegal, West Africa. We used powder paint and sand and then glue to create the effect. Fantastic vibrant result!
