RE in Year R

In our RE lessons this half term we have been learning about special places. We have shared our own special places, learnt about some amazing places around the world and taken an online tour of a Mosque. This week we walked to the church and Rev Mark showed us around St Andrew's.

Looking after our world

This week we have been thinking about our wonderful world and how to look after it.
We had a visit from Pirate Pat (Devon waste education) who talked to us about sea pollution and how to reduce, reuse and recycle. We have made posters and practised sorting our rubbish into types of recycling.

Postcards from Year R

12/2/2022

We enjoyed reading Meerkat Mail in class this week. Just like the meerkat in the story we decided to send postcards home to our families.
After visiting the village post office we opened our own post office in class and learnt to wrap and weigh parcels.
