We have celebrated two weddings in class today. Sorrel and Arthur married in our Muslim ceremony then Isabella and William married in our Christian ceremony. The children were able to experience both and compare each. The afternoon was rounded off with cake, 'champagne' and dancing. Special thanks to Rev Paul and Kaye for opening St Mary's church and officiating at the Christian ceremony.
Our mathematics learning this week has been based around circles and triangles. We have been exploring their properties, rotating them and went on a shape hunt with the Year 4 children.
In our gymnastics lesson this half term we are practising to hold a balance and different types of roll.
This week, Year R children have been learning about the festival of Diwali. They have acted out the story of Rama and Sita, created Rangoli art work and made their own diva lamps from clay.
