This week's super sunny weather has meant we have enjoyed plenty of outdoor learning. To end the week we walked to Mrs Glover's farm to see the sheep, feed the pigs and pick some blackberries. Back in class we all had a go at cutting apples, adding our freshly picked blackberries and mixing ingredients for a crumble topping, before taking them home to enjoy with our families.
This week has been the children's first ever full week of school! They have tried many things for the first time; taking new things in their stride and having a go at everything available. Among our firsts this week have been attending whole school assembly, receiving our first school certificates, completing PE lessons and changing into PE kit. Children also shared their favourite things collages that they created at home. We all learnt more about each other. A BIG well done to all our new starters in Year R who have been quick to settle into school life. We are looking forward to a fun filled year ahead. Here are a selection of photos showing some of the things we have been doing during our first 3 days. |
